Just a heads-up for the Godot community here: Legboy is not being made with Godot anymore. 😔

We only had one programmer, but he left the project. We lost many things. But finding available Unity devs was a lot easier and is probably a safer bet in the long term. So here we are: back in Unity.

Legboy is pretty much only 2 Brazilians of ambiguous skillsets.

Maybe Legboy t-shirts are gonna be a thing?

Recently watched The Wild Robot. Beautiful animation. 💚

It shares some themes and aesthetic choices with Legboy. Interesting references there.

In every level, there are four lost fruits you can recover.

They can be hard to get, but are completely optional. Kinda like Celeste's strawberries or Donkey Kong's letters.

Get them all if you're up for the challenge!

I always think about that, but I probably won't ever have the budget to add a level editor to my game... 😅

Still, I consider making extra hard levels myself for a DLC or something. Because I do feel limited by trying to keep this "reasonable difficulty curve" thing.

Eu percebi que é praticamente impossível manter uma equipe de voluntários num projeto (exceto talvez em game jams).

A única forma de fazer um projeto andar por mais tempo é fazendo contratos e pagando. Tem que juntar uma grana pra dedicar a isso e procurar freelancer disponível. É o jeito...

I'm 80% hopeful I'll get at least a demo up and running, ideally before the end of 2025.

If I get there, I think it's another 80% for early access and another for the full release. But it all depends on beating those first 20% of bad luck... 😅

By the way, I still enjoy Stranger Things but kinda hate the use of CGI.

If they went full practical effects and added extra retro touches (VHS noise etc.) it would have been AMAZING.

Kinda reminds me of Samurai Jack, Scott Wills, a little Frank Miller as well. Very interesting style! Had no idea you also had such stuff apart from the great pixel art.
