Good practice is to double check the address of the sender - see images in top post, and ideally never click on links that come from an e-mail. You know the safest place to deal with your account details, go there first.

📌 I've personally been experiencing an increase in fake Jagex/Runescape related emails, such as my "account details have recently been modified", or other claims.

I know it's obvious to some but watch out for these phishing scams so you don't lose access to your account.
