The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Though NHS England originally expected to publish the report in spring 2025[4], it has not yet been released as of yet. Internal documents suggest publication may be close. Its likely effects are uncertain, but it may lead to tighter gatekeeping in NHS services, with possible knock-on effects for private clinics, particularly for people under 25.

Its difficult to pin down for sure, and I stand to be corrected too. My impression was that a "negative statutory instrument" needs a MP to raise an early day motion to annul the SI to even get a debate, which the government would just deny. No debate, no way for the public to scrutinise the bill.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding something, the gov are sitting on this so that they don't have to release the details. After the required 40 days it will automatically become law, but by that point it is to late to lobby your MP, the only way to challenge it will be in the UK courts.

No, Twitter is a social media platform, an echo chamber and has no legitimacy. Tory and then Labour governments who told us we have to listen to their legitimate concerns are who made it OK to be fascist.
