3.3 out of 10 people like what is happening in our country. If we can move the needle on the 6.7 who don’t toward anti-racism, seeing the fed government as the puppet of the ultra wealth hoarders, and deconstructing patriarchy and colonization, the 3.3 won’t have an impact that harms the majority.

I’ve been trying to change minds of ✋🏻people in kind and courteous ways. I’ve failed. I hoped they’d have even a slight shift, but doubling down seems to be the result. Patriarchy, colonization, and oppression are such 🗑️.

We live in the richest country in the history of the world, and we’re the only wealthy nation that doesn’t guarantee health care. Now we’re arguing over whether people deserve food. Explain it to me like I’m five because I don’t get it.

They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

They want us knocked down.
They want us knocked up.
They want us knocked around.

Them: Knock! Knock!

So do they want to teach Christianity in public schools so badly because it hasn’t worked in churches and private schools?

I don’t have answers, but I am ready for a system of governance that excludes unfettered capitalism. To curb the disorder of wealth hoarding, I think an income cap sounds quite good right now.

No allies, just all lies.

Community is the way forward.

Some Democrats just received an even sweeter retirement package! Healthcare and food security should never be bargaining chips by those who are elected to protect basic human rights. Heinous.

There hasn’t been a single year in the last two decades without children being shot at school in the USA. Over 500 kids have perished there. It’s no surprise we don’t mind if children won't have their medical needs met or starve as well. How are they not our top priority??? We fail kids daily.

The older I get the more I see that the 1% owns both wings of the same bird on the federal level. There’s no better time to strengthen state and local community to meet basic human needs and condemn the hoarding of wealth that our national government is holding allegiance to.

There’s not been a time in my decades of life when I’ve been more aware that the term “on the national stage” is LITERAL. The illusion and pretense of governance as the ultra wealthy run the show. We are not protected or supported. Our basic human needs mean nothing. We are a means to an end.

The shutdown is exposing industries that are beginning to flounder because the government (our tax dollars) supports their employees while they reap profits. Unfettered capitalism is tragic for the populace and is untenable. No amount of war or violence can fix it.

SNAP benefits should be funded and NEVER used like a bargaining chip in some game. These are people’s lives but this regime and the oligarchs that funded them don’t care so long as they make their quarterly profits or enrich themselves just a little more. We need to say ENOUGH of this!

So many reasons to celebrate!

We have this gorgeous, amazing home and instead of appreciating how pristine and spectacular it is and caring for it, we trash and decimate it without repair or regard and spend our time hating others we share it with and depleting the wildlife living amongst us. We cling to violent existence. Why?

I think we all knew that the national checks and balances were gone. Watching it play out in real time is sickening. There will be no taxing the rich and closing loopholes, only obscene wealth hoarding. The working class will face increased criminalized poverty and death.

There’s a kind of hatred for a person that has caused you harm face-to-face. It can be heavy and miserable.

What’s the word for hatred you’re SUPPOSED to have for innocent people according to government and societal conditioning? It’s hollow with no substance. Only vitriol and violence.

Those files must be really something else to risk starving 42 million people in your country.

I truly do not understand why people act like it is unfathomable that one job should cover all of your expenses.

We should not be living like we need to have 2 or 3 full-time jobs just to do the basics.

Adults shouldn't need to live with roommates to stay afloat.

This new normal isn’t sustainable. Housing, insurance, childcare, transportation, grocery, and utility costs will push more of the populace into poverty. It’s the exact opposite direction a democracy is supposed to drive its people! Part of the very definition of government is to provide services!

Hey Minnesota, let’s keep our fed funds and feed our people!!!
