The punishment for not forking money to remove them. Which again is not helping form a positive connection to the product. Am I the only one who feels this way?

And I feel like it's not the same as on TV because there's no sense of control with TV, I can't really pause TV or choose a show to watch beyond flipping channels. So ads taking this control away feel a lot more intrusive. And as such instead of serving their purpose they become the punishment.

You know one thing about ads on streaming services and YouTube, is that by interrupting your show suddenly, they do not help sell the product. Quite the opposite they help you develop a negative association with the product, since it interrupts stuff you liked.

Not just mods, RimPy too. It still works thankfully, but sucks it has no updates.

I am reading the novels, and enjoy them quite a bit, and I enjoyed the anime quite a bit too. Looking forward to the adaptation of the 4th volume.

The whole CR new subtitling software debacle is so weird, because it's not like they're saving money on that. Aegisub is literally free. And it's a lot more powerful than what CR does with its subtitles anyway.

It just reeks of shady. It's a really weird change.

That and its very specific weird quasi realistic style is what people love Half-Life 2 for, but I believe if anyone praises its plot is because they project their fun with the systems or intrigue over setting onto extremely bland characters.

It's a very gameplay/tech game series as a whole, and that shit fucks immensely. Playing around with physics is fun, and while gunplay was outdone by any other game in years after, there's still something special about ragdolling a Source NPC with a well placed shotgun blast.

I think it's because nobody cares too much about the character writing in HL2, I think. It does suck, and there's not much to care about. The world is interesting, and people want to know more about it, but also everybody was making fun of "please breed my daughter" Eli for 20 years.
