GM'd some Fabula Ultima. Big fan of the metacurrency and narrative mechanics. Combat is just okay. I think I'll homebrew parts of it into Sword World 2.5.

Tabletop games that require the GM to "shoot the monk" have bad game design. It's fine in narrative-focused games and tables but awful in tactical ones.

I'm going to add dice pools to my Sword World games. Xd6 keep highest/lowest 2 for circumstances instead of flat modifiers. Rolling only 2d6 for literally everything *feels* monotonous.
