Descriptive stats are just a report about an observation. You don’t bend the truth or distort it, you just report it! Asking for MCC for descriptive stats is like firing the head of the bureau of labor statistics because you don’t like their findings. Maybe that’s why I’m so up in arms

Inferential stats answer the question “how probable would it have been to get this result by chance, given a set of assumptions?” That dependent clause introduces some fuzziness to your claim, and MCC is a way of being transparent about that

I agree with Randy more strongly than Randy does. Correcting for multiple comparisons isn’t just unnecessary for descriptive statistics - it’s inappropriate. I’m almost offended by the idea.
