Hopefully. It’s been two weeks. Thanks. That tailpiece unintentionally set the theme of the whole build. I rolled with it. I needed the challenge.

That’s it! Jazzmaster. I have a baritone neck with a blank head too. 27-28” scale. I’m not ready for it yet. I think I want to build another bugarija as a backup first. And a case for the blue one.

Is that a jaguar style? Looks like it.

Kind of tingy. Some strings make it sound like a sitar. Constantly tuning it. Guyker was cheaper than Gotoh. Or it might be the floating bridge. Sounds great through an amp though!

I really am proud, and even my stoic dad is. We are slavonci, but this was inspired by a visit at his home in #dalmatia in Oct 2022.

I like that you inlay the head too. Do you use an iron or heat gun for the plastic? Also, is there a good brand name to look for with the aniline?

It was a gamble as I never used it before. I’m going to look at aniline when I get home.

I did the same this time. All the tentacles are mica and resin. But no binding. I’m not up to that skill level yet.

Unicorn Spit Sparkling. Sapphire Swift on the knobs and all the light blue. And Violet Vulture in the sound hole.

Put my fears aside & installed #frets to the #guitarneck I messed up the 4th one, pulled & replaced it. Leveled, beveled, filed, fret rubbered to 2000 grit. Don’t have the tool to round them over. Good enough for an experimental. #amatureluthier #tamburica #croatia #bugarija #luthier

Collab with my wife. She was really into #wirebonsai and I have always been fascinated with #Japanese culture. I made her a base from #hardmaple and she wove her tree into it. Last year I carved a #geisha from #claro walnut. Didn’t think to pair them till today.

Had 2 stop my #guitarbuild 2 construct portable hanging #paintbooth. Fan, filter, & cardboard skirts R replaceable. Solution until I can afford an explosion proof fan. #bugarija is stained/cleared. Next I need 2 build a buffer. While poor & waiting, I made a #hrvatskigrb #trussrodcover #tamburiza

Screw up leads to coming up w/ solutions. Plural, bc you shouldn’t settle for the 1st 1 you come up w/. Friday I started to rout the wrong side of a neck for a truss rod. It’s Sunday and I’m glad I haven’t touched it yet. Sundays are for forgetting to level your bandsaw table. #Japaneseplanes

It’s like a real #luthier shop in here today. My friend is here reshaping his #sevenstring #agile. I got a lot of work don on my neck. Now I’m about to cut the cavity hole for electronics.

Not much to look at, but it’s my sanctuary. Almost 8’W & 10’L. All powered bench tools swap out of the shelves. One day I’ll be too old to lift them, but for now it’s tidy. This is where my personal & commission projects happen & it’s where the guitars will be made.

I’ve deleted, not deactiveted, fb & stopped playing online mobile racing I’ve had for 8yrs. Creativity & productivity skyrocketed. Weird not having that fb audience to announce it anymore. But also… the freedom of not feeling like I have to. #artistwithadhd

Sometimes, before an install, measurements get lost in translation; across time zones. I didn’t pack; couldn’t locally find the material needed to fill a “rock” gap around this archeological find in an escape room we built off site. I was excited that my idea and paint match worked. Phew!
