Fun tidbits from http://xenoserieswiki.org. Spoilers. Inspired by @/depthsofwikipedia. Run by rtg142857 (an editor but otherwise unaffiliated with the wiki).
Screenshot of a table on the "Bind (XCX)" page on the Xeno Series Wiki, listing the rates at which AI-controlled party members in Xenoblade X successfully complete Soul Challenges to bind an enemy.
In Xenoblade X, different AI-controlled characters have different chances of QTE success when binding an enemy in a Skell.
Doug β the ace Skell pilot who has constant combat dialogue about debuffing his foes β is tied for worst at this.
Hope is second-best.
(totally not using this as an excuse to advertise that XSW now has full conditions for the sidequests based upon the in-game data) www.xenoserieswiki.org/wiki/Mystery...
13.01.2026 16:50 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The infobox for Xenoblade X's "Mystery Man" sidequest on Xeno Series Wiki. The list of conditions for the quest appearance reads: "Story: Chapter 5 completed Quest not completed: Mystery Man Quest objective not completed: Mystery Man - Talk to Graham on Central Melville Street in the commercial district."
Advantages of having a robust condition module based on the in-game data: nothing left out, easy to change things all in one place, less work managing thousands of relevant pages...
Disadvantages: you have to display all the redundancy included in the game too.
It looks at first glance to me like the double casts are necessary? But I'm certainly no expert in decompilation.
04.01.2026 21:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A post on the Xeno Series Wiki discord by Sir Teati Moonlight, saying: "okay that should be better I expect a DoXSW post about this saga :P"
As an aside, the List of bugs and glitches (XCX) page in the first screenshot is definitely one of my favourites as of late. It really shows how much duct tape is holding these games together.

Screenshot of the "List of bugs and glitches (XCX)" Xeno Series Wiki page, describing the very technical bug which leads to Gradivus having 5 more HP than he 'should'.
Discussion on the Xeno Series Wiki discord: "> omitting casts from float to double please provide the entire formula that includes all casts, so I can get the full picture of how much this matters if at all" Response from Hamidu: "oh boy, give me a second to wrap my head around it" Followed by a screenshot of decompiled code from XCX, leading with a cast to a double, then to a float, then to a double, then to a float, then to a double.
Screenshot of Sir Teati Moonlight in the Xeno Series Wiki discord wrapping his head around exactly what's causing the discrepancy between the in-game enemy stat calculation (something which takes 9 lines of code with numbers listed at extremely high precision to properly interpret) and the on-wiki calculation.
Screenshot of the newly-added "Module:XCX enemy stat" Xeno Series Wiki helper module, featuring an 18-line function with a tangled composition of mathematical operations purely for replicating XCX's behaviour of turning doubles into floats.
We found that we were selling Gradivus, the Headless Emperor short by 5 HP (that's 0.000005%). Easy fix, right?
...Right?

The core chips in Xenoblade 2 ALMOST fit a neat pattern based upon their naming schemes and rank.
Sadly, the Bronze Chip, Motor Chip, and Axion Chip didn't get the memo.

I rather like the Chu-Chu interpretation myself.

We need headers to organise the script pages by cutscene, but Xenoblade X doesn't have official cutscene titles, so we just make them up.
