Philly sends a third of its trash to a Chester incinerator. Council members took a ‘Toxic Tour’ to get a closer look. Reworld’s contract with Philadelphia ends in June 2026. Councilmember Jamie Gauthier has introduced a bill that would prohibit the city from incinerating trash.

Very similar to South Jersey Reworld (f/k/a COVANTA) situation where municipalities from around the region send their trash to incinerator in Camden City.

Cherry Hill Township taking three big steps to support solar and deal with residents' electric bill sticker shock. A program aimed at promoting solar energy in Cherry Hill as a cheaper alternative to skyrocketing PSE&G electric bills was unveiled by Township Council at its Monday meeting.

Great work here by #CherryHill. In addition to the economic benefits, transitioning our homes and buildings to renewables helps improve #AirQuality in South Jersey.
