Reeves puts country on notice for tax hikes as ‘each of us must do our bit’ In a pre-Budget speech, Rachel Reeves said: ‘If we are to build the future of Britain together, we will all have to contribute to that effort.’

“The Resolution Foundation think tank has estimated she will need to raise taxes by £21-£26 billion.”

There are currently 156 billionaires in the UK. Tax that hoarded wealth and you’d have more than enough.

Agree. I use transgender as that was the term when I came out, but terms are just an attempt to describe experience. I prefer queer as an ambiguous catch-all.

The idea of inborn gender essentialises a psychosocial construct that is both social and deeply personal. It‘s Impossible to rigidly define.

A 224-Year Wait to See a Gender Clinic? It Doesn’t Have to Be Like This No, 224 years is not a typo

Waiting lists for gender clinics shouldn’t be this long, especially since most of us could easily (and safely) access treatment through our GPs. Gatekeeping via ‘specialist’ gender clinics is a huge part of the problem, it’s harmful and it needs to end.

The Power of a Name: A Transgender Reading of Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea Finding trans reality in a world of fantasy

Here’s a little exploration of one of the major pieces of lore in Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea - names - from a trans perspective, with a bit of the personal thrown in for good measure.

The biggest irony is that a co-founder behind this anti-trans and anti-medicine conspiracy-mongering account is a big fan of homeopathy: a snake oil sugar pill "treatment" that helps no-one and makes a fuckload of money for the fraudsters selling it

The “incentive” the CoHM medicines had was pressure from a government with an anti-trans agenda, influenced by a minority of anti-trans groups fuelling an anti-trans moral panic. Their incentive is transphobic ideology. Which you know, as you share the same ideology.

There’s no evidence that puberty blockers affect brain function or IQ (the latter of which is based on racist pseudoscience). Trans kids who take puberty blockers do go through puberty, after they’ve been on blockers. You don’t have a fucking clue what you’re talking about. You’re just GC grifters.

During the Franco dictatorship, Spanish women that could afford it traveled to the UK to get safe abortions. Poorer women only had access to back alley clandestine and dangerous abortions. The UK now is creating the same situation but in reverse for trans healthcare

Trans ‘Sex by Deception’: What Are We Really Protecting Cis Men From? How we make trans people pay the price for cis men’s shame

Screenshot of a BBC article with the headline: Transgender woman guilty of sex assaults on man. The subtitle says: Ciara Watkin was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault and the first paragraph says: A transgender woman who lied to a man about being a biological female when she performed sex acts upon him has been found guilty of sexual assault. The screenshot also shows to headshots of the transgender woman, one a heavily filtered Instagram post with lots of makeup and the other a standard headshot.

Trans women ends up on the sex offender register because a cis man wants to pretend he didn’t willingly do sexual stuff with her.

This woman’s life is ruined because of a cis man’s insecurity.

This is not sexual assault, and calling it that is a huge insult to all victims of sexual violence.

Cis people can’t comprehend how cruel not helping a trans child is. Those of us who never had the chance to get help at a young age often spent decades in mental anguish and feeling utterly worthless. I know I became so traumatised I would only speak if spoken to. What monster hurts kids like that?

The entire 'gender critical' movement is built on weaponising violence experienced at the hands of cisgender men to attack trans women, rather than addressing cisgender male violence.

Being a victim of abuse does not give you the right to punch down. It's wild that this has to be said.

‘Queer joy’ stickers are grooming children, says feminist group For Women Scotland says brightly coloured packs put out by LGBT group Equality Network are propaganda clearly aimed at youngsters

This is such disgusting queerphobia. Even for the Times, published a piece that uncritically repeats the claim that a queer rights org is grooming children is fucking awful. The UK is regressing at an alarming rate.

Yeah, keep denying biological reality all you want. Describing hormone differences and the myriad physiological changes they cause “cosmetic” is just nonsense.

Sorry, are you presenting me with data from one race to try and argue that it negates data from 20 years of the same race? In a peer reviewed study? You really can’t make any claim to “fact”. Laughable.

Transgender women are biologically different to cisgender men. But that’s biology you are willing to deny, in service of transphobia.

There are so few trans athletes that a third category isn’t possible, and would be defacto exclusion, as well as dehumanising.

And again (3rd time?) there are sports where men and women haven’t competed - the assumption men would prevail is just that, an assumption. A sexist one.

31.07.2025 20:13 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Again, my point is that your statement that intersex athletes would already be aware of that fact is false. Genetic testing will lead to female athletes being branded as men and excluded. That is, it will harm women (cis, intersex, and transgender). I’m guessing you don’t care though.

I do want it to be fair, and that involves not ignoring the fact that transgender women who have medically transitioned are physiologically different to cisgender men. It involves actually proving that intersex women and transgender women have an advantage, beyond assumptions. Neither have happened.

It’s quite obviously transphobic to deny a trans person’s identity, and you know that.

But really, gender doesn’t matter in sport? It doesn’t affect funding, or training, or participation? Really?

Except for this one, which I already shared with you, where women’s times are 12-14% faster than men’s?

Deal in facts, etc.
