Maybe Democrat leaders should figure out what’s not working out properly here to gain public’s votes in the midterms e.g. Young people afraid to lose jobs due to No regulations on AI , farmers losing farms, Elderly who are on Medicaid, increased meat prices - especially beef prices .

President Bill Clinton ( 1993-2001) balanced the USA budget and reduced the deficit significantly without eliminating so many jobs and departments. Should we not follow his example and/ or how he did it?:)
