I enjoy writing dark fantasy but with little substantial twists of hope. Not because I'm a hopeful person but because it's a deeply intriguing challenge to look for a bonfire in the darkest situations.

I finally got it published in a journal: a review/opinion paper on addressing consent in AI systems. They're still unlikely to give a damn but at least proposed solutions are out there.

The year wrapped up nicely last week. Finished my edits on my latest novel and sent it to the editor, got a biomedical AI paper published in MELBA journal, and my paper on incorporating consent in AI systems "Consentful-by-Design" was accepted at AI & Society journal, my proudest paper to date 🙌
