There is a population of at least 20,000 Black bears in the state. Most are found in mountain and coastal regions. As temperatures begin to warm in March and April, bears become more active.

UNC football will move on from coach Mack Brown after game vs. N.C. State In a statement released Tuesday, Tar Heels' athletic director Bubba Cunningham said that Brown — the most winningest football coach in UNC history — will not return next season.

Mack Brown is out.

The announcement from Bubba Cunningham comes a day after Brown, 73, told reporters that he intended to be the coach of the Tar Heels in 2025.

Many UNC fans felt that the program underachieved in Mack 2.0.
