i like to take the fandom's misunderstanding of sonic as a character and put it in the universe - people having this skewed image of sonic as a selfless hero who can do no bad to the point that he risks facing backlash for simply being himself when he never tried to deceive anyone in the first place

i already went pretty hard on it in the one step at a time series, but sonic feeling this immense pressure to be 'good' and to not have any 'bad' desires or 'negative' feelings because of this pedestal he's been put on against his will

i think about sonic having an impostor syndrome a lot
