I'm going to tell you something as a Trump biographer. I mean it seriously. You need to understand that Trump get something close to sexual excitement from describing acts of violence.

If you wonder why his SOTU speeches always include graphic violence, that's why. It's for him.

The confidence it takes to say all of this while everyone can see the actual facts in real time should be studied medically.

The strategy here seems to be to just claim everything is exactly the opposite of reality and hope people believe it.

A not bad strategy is to just peter out during one of his rambles until the chamber is half empty. When you talk to the press just be like "I got really bored, he was always stupid but tonight he was super boring. Dementia maybe?" He'd be mad. Of course instead they're just kinda sittin' there.
