This is great, but also presses on to me how difficult it still is to convince players to act against their instincts of "keep it safe". Still need to figure where this comes from (video game norms? D&d norms?) and how to design a game that attacks this at the source

Oh my god the PayPal call was SO FUNNY. The guy on the phone was like "We don't allow processing payments for explicit material."

So I hit him with "So if I were to go and purchase a copy of Game of Thrones online, my payment would be blocked?"

I think it clicked for him then.

Become the caretaker of a surreal intergalactic zoo. Solo mechanics + sick creature art! You wanted to travel the stars, but even astronaut-you can only make a difference for so long before you burn out 🙃

There's an astonishingly "what could it possibly mean?"-coded piece around saying "people who understand more about AI are less likely to want anything to do with it" and I just want to suggest: what if it were sharks?

I dislike this as a definition for role-playing, because this term means so many different things, and prefer to use "portraying", fitting the exact same description. It's a specific skill set under the bigger umbrella of "what we do during a role playing game"
