I feel this way and assume many others do too and then I read the crazy stats about how Google’s AI summaries have decimated web traffic and I’m like…maybe I’m wrong about how many other people feel this same way

This is the first OpenAI product that I initially thought could see success long term. The paid element complicates it, though…why would someone pay a premium for a web browser (even with its AI bells and whistles) when Google is free?

This is a great post, Andy, thank you for sharing! I think this kind of thinking also plays into technological determinism and the pitfalls of that theory. We need to believe that people are autonomous and self-aware to also believe that we have the power to design a better tech/AI system.

i see an image of a woman on the floor with a man holding a fistful of her hair and my immediate thought goes to violence. And i think that reaction is…okay. I think the reaction of just seeing this as a kinky image is also…okay.

i have no problem with Sabrina Carpenter being sexual/kinky on main like this. my issue is that I don’t think this image is explicitly kinky *enough* to totally disprove the arguments that this cover evokes sexual violence

I suspect there are many, many customers who will not trust a product they don’t understand (to some extent). They might still use it, but to limited ends

I keep thinking about this in regards to the recent Trust & Safety push in big tech. Surely the key to both trust and safety is educating the people you’re trying to sell your products to!
