No, it can't, the UK would have to realign its free zones with the EU Parliament's regulations, which prohibit the use of State aid for profit motives, why?

Excellent article by @jonathanfreedland.bsky.social on how autocratic "serially bad negotiator" Trump is taking an axe to the post-WW2 order, with dangerous implications for Ukraine.

During Abrego Garcia hearing right now, Judge Xinis asks the DOJ attorney (Drew Ensign) where is Mr. Abrego Garcia.
Ensign: I don't have that info. My clients haven't given me that info as of today.
Judge Xinis: Where is he?
Ensign: I don't have that info.
Having lived in El Salvador and having had been married to a Salvadoran for 20 years, I know the Government of El Salvador would return Abrego Garcia if Trump demanded it. Trump won't because either 1) he's been exterminated or 2) his return would bring a witness to atrocities back to the USA.

But they also make unsustainable lifestyles look desirable, use their social and cultural power to perpetuate the idea that everything's fine, and wield their political and financial power to maintain and worsen the status quo
Exactly. It’s called representative democracy for a reason and disproportionate platforming of elected representatives distorts democracy itself. You wouldn’t be surprised if the company with the biggest advertising budget achieved the highest market share, but MSM advertises politicians for free!

Then I get distracted, because I've just seen a really cool meme on X about a hot milf getting stuck in a tumble-dryer while wearing yoga pants.
