What if instead of drawing, we made a 3d model, flattened it, tricked the physics based render engine into getting rid of AO and all that other physical stuff, play around with Toon Materials for hours to make it look like pencil, and press cook?

I went to visit my family in Europe recently. Every time I travel through the Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport I see this clock and have always wanted to know more!
