I now find myself sat in a kwikfit waiting room while my car has its MOT.

Had a really nice day today. Day off work (as it was my birthday yesterday and who wants sunday work blues on their bday?) and have just, well, pottered about with the house to myself. Lovely bit of sunshine. No stress. Such a rare feeling.

It's 35 years today since Gainsbourg died, which is a long time if you're young and not so long if you're not. That also means my book must be five years old which feels like last week when you get to my age. Anyway, just to say, it's still out there hanging just outside the Ethnomusicology Hot 100

I feel like it’s a very AuDHD thing, it feels very free to be in normal everyday spaces but alone.

It’s not just driving, I think. I used to love walking home from the pub late at night too. I think I just like the absence of people.

I’ve decided I really love driving late at night. Normally I hate driving in the dark but I think that’s because LED headlights are a pain up the arse. Empty roads at 1am are a joy, however.
