It really is, I treasure that gift a lot. Even if it wasn't a good movie I'd still appreciate it but it feels much nicer knowing it's a classic

I was given the dvd of that movie as a gift years ago by a friend cause I'd never seen it til she sent it to me. I still have it to this day. Such a great film.

Like I get new kids these days give up on things easily when they don't understand it, and even back then some people just didn't wanna bother, but back before all this info was just streamlined to us by the devs we just figured shit out on our own and had fun doin it.

I dont have to cause I lived it. SF2 WW on the SNES, SFA2 on the PS1, Third Strike on the Dreamcast. All of the above and more at arcades I was playing them, had no idea what I was doing, but had fun anyway. If someone only has fun by being explicitly hand-held or guided then good for them I guess.

It's always good to kiss the hand that feeds us. VAs wouldn't be anywhere without a good script, and a good script doesn't exist without good writers.

That said, there are a decent chunk good dudes in that space who in addition to VA they do write so they could definitely contribute and try to lend a hand to some well-meaning but otherwise awkward fellas

It sounds like a good idea but unfortunately a lot of those dudes are just as clueless and mostly only know how to speak because they're reading a script from a (usually femme) writer who knows better. If anything, those writers should really be the ones hosting those classes and reaping the rewards
