The courageous LGBTQIA+ service members who volunteer to defend our country don’t deserve these kind of discriminatory attacks.

CGE is honored to be part of the team that put together this fact sheet outlining the lethal consequences of the Administration's anti-refugee & anti-LGBTQI+ policies & priorities.

“This is a major legal step,” said Rémy Bonny, Executive Director of Forbidden Colours. “For the first time, the Court is invited to confirm a self-standing Article 2 violation. It proves that Hungary’s actions are not a policy disagreement — they are an attack on the very foundations of the Union.”

This ruling is not the end of the legal road, nor does it automatically repeal the ban on Budapest Pride that violates Hungarians' fundamental rights to freedom of speech & assembly. But it is a huge step forward in halting Viktor Orbán's use of homophobia & transphobia to advance authoritarianism.
