I think it's largely that he'd be able to get really, really over as a somewhat dorky but good wrestler in this era but he's like 14 years too old to really invest a long-term build for him. It's a shame.

Bill nails it here. I hate that gambling is such a prominent feature of much of what I watch/listen to, from podcasts to wrestling to sports. I don't hate gambling on its own - I like losing some money at a poker table as much as the next guy - but it has its place.
