Thank you to everyone that attended our European Holiday showcase this afternoon. Our P6s really enjoyed getting the chance to discuss their knowledge with you today. ☀️🕶️🌍

On Friday P6 chose from a long list of activities to take charge of their own learning. Ask your child what they enjoyed this most today.

P6 spent Tuesday morning in the Lab rewriting and typing out their favourite discursive text from the past 4 weeks, completing spelling tasks and completing Sumdog time challenges. 💻

Today p6 investigated time differences around the world and how that would differ from the time in the UK. Ask to see the table they started to create on their iPads.

Friday morning means Child Led Learning! Ask your child the locations and activities that excited them about visiting London - and how they presented that information on Friday.

This week we practised our sketching skills and applying shadow and shade to make our artwork more realistic. ✏️🍎

This week p6 took a walk along to Graeme High School to prepare for our full day visit on Friday 23rd May. We now know which door to enter in the morning and are getting excited to see what will happen on the day.

The class have been developing their map reading skills using google maps. Children had to match the number on the worksheet to a country on google maps. Great teamwork skills and problem solving skills.

This week pupils worked on posters to help them remember the rules for multiplying by 10, 100 and 1,000 or dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000.

If your child is in the Zombies spelling group, ask if you can see the keynote presentation they created today looking at the affixes they will be practising in spelling activities over the next week and a half. 📽️

Today primary 6 started a languages project working with Graeme High School. We heard how the words we use everyday have been shaped by different languages and cultures throughout history.

A busy afternoon in P6 as children chose whether to practise their coding, painting or division skills.

Congratulations to P6 on the fantastic athletics event today at Grangemouth Stadium. Fantastic behaviour, teamwork, determination and resilience.

For Tuesday’s outdoor learning, P6 investigated the link between distance, time and speed. They timed how fast they could run 10m then did a division sum to find the speed in metres per second. A tricky concept but one we will come back to. 🏎️💨

Today we had the AI Workshop. We considered what AI is, what it does for us now, and brainstormed group projects for ways AI could help us in school.

The fantastic P6 entries for our World Book Day Potato competition. Our winner was Dogman! 🐶👮‍♂️

For today’s outdoor learning task, Primary 6 developed their skills in giving instructions using compass directions. 🧭

Congratulations to our P6 and P7 Agnes Ford Writing Competition winners. The winners attended a prize giving event on Wednesday evening. 🏆

Today is our pink/red fundraiser for theRotary Club Limb Charity.
Pupils can wear any clothes or accessories that are pink or red and donate to our charity. 🔴🩷

On Monday P6 got to take part in a Yoga session as part of Children’s Mental Health Week. 🧘🧘‍♂️

This afternoon P6/5 and P6 went investigating to see what damage could be found in the local area after Storm Eowyn last Friday. We’ll then use our photos to illustrate our report writing next week. 💨🍃

We tried a new way to practice our spelling words today. We’ve named them sprawlings. Really impressive and good fun too
