Beck Way only threw two pitches on Tuesday but he generated 60+ grades on both. His cutter had a 102 TJ Stuff+ and produced good numbers (.080 xwOBACON, 75% zone, 100% chase). Way has been an intriguing arm but hasn't put it together in upper levels. Maybe this year is different.

Lucas Erceg made his '26 #SpringTraining debut and did fine. 1 K, 0 H in 1 IP. Stuff was good with 100 TJ Stuff+ overall and two pitches with grades over 55 (four-seamer and changeup). Generated a lot of chase (66.7%) but not a lot of whiff (20%). Seeing the latter go up will be key for Erceg in '26

Felix Arronde made his #Royals #SpringTraining debut against his home country. Gave up a hit and walk in 1 IP. Flooded the strike zone with 57.9% zone rate and had a decent whiff (30%) and .198 xwOBACON. Stuff was okay with 97 TJ Stuff+ overall

Ryan Bergert was ridiculous today and continues to have a strong spring. 103 overall TJ Stuff+, 3 pitches with grades over 55, a 43.5% chase, a 41.2% whiff, and .078 xwOBACON. He also had four K in 2 IP. It's getting cliché now, but he's doing everything to show that he deserves an Opening Day Spot.
