The game does come with a rating of 16+ and triggers in the description because the plot is already about grief and death seeing how it’s about ghosts. So i could put that in the game as well maybe just encase folk don’t read the description

I was thinking of having like a little warning at the start of the game that says about the toggle option, then throughout the game if anything is coming up that might be distressing a little skull or something can pop up on the page as a warning so people can turn it off and on at chosen moments

A safe word feature is a really cool idea. I think maybe implementing a toggle or something if i can figure it out would be good for future updates

A toggle would be good id have to figure out how to do it which ill work on for future chapters! For now i think maybe a toggle at the start of the chapter for now could be a good shout in the mean time

Would prior scene warning be appreciated or is having a warning on the game page enough?

I have a general warning on the games page that some scenes may be distressing, do you think that is enough of a warning or do you think having a warning before scenes is a good idea? I would like to maybe some day have a toggle but currently i don’t have one/idk how to do it. So for now

But i know it could make people feel disconnected from a scene if it suddenly chucks you out to be like “btw the next scene might be distressing” so i’m wondering how you would like to experience it

I was just wondering if this way of doing things appealing to people? Cause then if usually don’t mind scene likes that but maybe that day you arn’t feeling it you have the option the censor scenes sort of on the fly.

For more graphic or distressing scenes in Gravehearts I was going to have a moment before the scene that is like heads up the next scene could be distressing would you like to censor it yes or no option.
