Happy 1st day of Halloween!

Going through Typst documentation this morning, with the hope of using it to make some great looking docs for my #TTRPG one-shot content. This is way better than LaTeX already!

Using it AT ALL means you do not respect or understand the damage that genai has done and actively does.

I made this with Inkscape, and you can tell. It's very vectory. I need to figure out how to make it less so before publishing the setting. Or maybe I should just hand-draw it from scratch.

Working on my Gunslingers one-shot this morning, running the game tomorrow night for some friends.

The party start with train tickets to a remote destination. Rumors swirl around town about unsolved murders, robberies and even demons on the railways. What plots will they uncover? #oneshot #rpg

when I'm not using pen and paper, I'm on the terminal using emacs, monospaced fonts, neotree and org-mode. I guess that's the carry over from being a software engineer during the day and a writer at night. #writing

I'm on the "get it on the page" bandwagon. When I stop and go back I start fussing over little things. That kills my momentum, but do what works for you.

As a new author trying to publish my first book, I am becoming painfully aware that many publishers won't even look at submissions from new authors. What in the world is going on? How do you even get your foot in the door? #writing

distracting myself with pixel art this Easter morning

tested out my phone's GPS accuracy via HTML5's geolocation API for this new GPS-based interactive fiction game I'm working on. It's...confidently wrong. Either that or Google Maps has no idea where my house really is.

what kind of game is it? Unity or Godot are very popular engines to start with!

diving into making a cyber-punk game in Godot and need a good choice-based dialogue system. Dialogic seems like the best fit, but does it scale well when you have a ton of conversation branching? I was thinking about using Ink, but I would need to code my own actors. #gamedev
