My heart breaks for LA. We are still healing from the fires.

Now ICE is raiding school graduations, job sites, and immigration hearings.

Families are being torn apart. People are being kidnapped. Women are being assaulted by men in masks.

Fuck ICE. People are not illegal.

No one deserves this.

This is why every May I raise money all month long to help fund Lupus research and support programs for Lupus Warriors and their caretakers.

We need to find a cure, better treatments, and faster diagnosis processes.

A cut on my leg put me in the hospital for 4 days because my immune system couldn't fight off the infection. A routine in-office procedure put me in the emergency room and I almost bled out right in front of my partner. I had to have emergency surgery to save my life.

A normal life will never exist for me.

I will be on various medications until I die. I can never live alone because the disease has disabled me. I will always be in extreme medical debt. I will never be able to play sports, ride a rollercoaster, or go on long hikes ever again.

Today is World Lupus Day 💜

Every day I fight to make Lupus visible because the Lupus Warriors that come after me should not have to suffer like I have, and like so many of my loved ones have.

This disease is relentless. I've lost pieces of me I will never get back.
