If I ship something, I want it to be based off of the CANON MATERIAL. NOT LIES I'VE BEEN FED BY A TLER WHO DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ACCURACY OR FAITHFULNESS TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL!!!

I'm not talking about the content. OBVIOUSLY ORV has canon material for both ships. I'm talking about the dynamics between the characters. I would literally rather read a machine translation. It will be ugly but at least when it sounds like shit I know it's because of a bad TL and not because the TLer went wild and basically wrote their own fanfic.

I've literally read Volume 1 at least 12x in the past year alone. Volume 2 at least 6. Volume 3 would be around 5. When I say I've read and reread I'm so fucking serious. And when I say APW's TL ain't right, I mean it. The MTL did better with the "voice".

I cannot express enough as someone who values characterization over everything else how AGONIZING it is to read APW's TL and being able to see how hard they fucked up all the characrerization. I don't know the full depth since I don't have every character's voice down, but I KNOW ORV NARRATION.

I'm gonna have a fucking breakdown about this. When the Retranslation Proect gets further in I swear to god I'm gonna be so obnoxious about putting screenshots of a CORRECT TRANSLATION fucking everywhere. I'm gonna be so goddamn annoying about it.
