As a writer, woman, and nerd, I have consumed so much straight romance that have disappointed me more than I like to admit. They often feel too similar or shallow. A large part of the reason for that, I noticed, was the lack of focus on the girl’s hurts, goals, identity, etc. Any thoughts? #writer
