i do like how everything just keeps on advancing, it has a good pace to it. granted there aren't more goofy episodes like having a tennis or fishing episode (which are peak) but in exchange, it feels more chill as a whole

even with that it still feels laid back, like it's never presented as seriously as whenever one of the five shabranigdu subordinates arcs were going on. so far there aren't ongoing subplots within the story like with phil or whatever where there's just a few eps stuck to this more serious thing

i saw some people saying they felt this season was too dramatic in comparison to season 1 or 2 and i really could not disagree more lmao.... i'd even say it feels MORE comedic than those two, more so Next. there's still a lot to go so maybe i'm wrong but we'll see

the only thing i noticed that has to get sidelined a lot more (so far) is gourry and lina's interactions (i feel anyways). gourry especially feels like he never gets much to say or do which is unfortunate. everything else is great though, like the pacing is almost perfect.

on ep12 and i think Try is already easily my favorite season of the three. it's kinda crazy how this is completely original to the anime too? they cooked. i love the character interactions, love how many opposing forces there are. there's just a lot happening and i'm here for it. very fun time

i just don't like the word on the basis of it sounding stupid honestly but the culture behind it sucks a lot too. i definitely think you shouldn't worry about it though cause at the end of the day you aren't like the people you're worried about

i also avoid the word as much as possible lol. i just say i like old things and keep it at that. i only used it today after a super long while bc i was both running out of characters and had no idea what else to say to describe the crt output people

i adore my copy of chaotix so much but i can't help but feel so upset over how for whatever reason the cymbal instrument, and specifically only the cymbal instrument, is completely broken on my cartridge and winds up sounding like this

i think a lot of people really dismiss that aspect about beatemups sometimes. a lot of discussion seems to be held by people who play these singleplayer, and i think it's important to note the experience of these games both ways. but the whole co-op part is kind of too ignored from what i see

i think scott pilgrim's problem was that there wasn't a lot of people who were able to talk about it because it wasn't easily available. as for rcg i just always heard hate for it and went in skeptical myself, i honestly expected to hate it too but no i had a great time playing co-op with my wife

fortunately i think sor4 has received mostly positive reception

people don't like the way enemies scale around you from what i can tell, not that levelling is inherently an issue. the biggest complaints gameplay wise that i see is that it feels too juggle centric, trying to keep your enemy in the air, but i dont find that to be an issue cause its not easy imo

absolutely, great game and one of the best in the genre

at the end of the day it's pretty whatever, people can hate what they want. and there's some stuff about the game i don't love myself but i think there's a lot more good than bad to it. i just think people are quick to dismiss it because they don't like its humor

like yeah all the youtuber voice actors & references & dialogue kinda sucks & it's completely fair to hate but i think it's a cool game. i don't really see it how everyone else does where it's some total misunderstanding of the genre. i get you like old beatemups. i do too. i've played more than you

had a period in my life during highschool where i was strangely addicted to this game. so many hours spent just farming in the darkness, trying as hard as possible to make the most optimal farm ever, worried about my grass tile placement. never even got to beat it...

are you completely against using stage selects to at least beat these one day? also it’s ok i wasn’t expecting anything crazy i was just curious what you considered your favorites. vectorman 1 is cool but its also quite mean at the start so it’s very understandable to game over
