Yeah, in the end you can enjoy a game or not without taking into account how much time it takes and wanting a "correct answer" to why you don't like it.
People just want to whine about everything instead of be playing something they enjoy I swear xDD

If you like the experience and general gameplay you'll tolerate much better the fact that it takes long to finish and even enjoy the process. Of you're disliking it as much as critics seem to imply most of the time then just don't play that game, is really that simple in my opinion xDD.

I guess it depends on the game and how much you tolerate "grindy" stuff. I generally tend to hate leveling and side quests in JRPGs because I feel they don't give me enough fun in return for how boring they usually feel. But even with that, I played Persona 3 Reload for nine months and loved it.
