When it's with an artist I follow that doesn't post an English version, I do try and translate to understand what's going on. While Google Lens isn't the best, I at least get an idea of what the artist is conveying :]

While I have a hard time understanding what they say, even when translating, their expressions still convey a lot, and I adore that.

When I found their account through a drawing of 8-Bit, I grew to love their art very much. Once I saw their Splatoon original characters, they looked so adorable that I wanted to draw them. Ringo, another character from the same artist, was supposed to be here too, but since I'm drawing original characters from mutuals and friends for a bit, I want to give theirs a chance first. Hopefully in a few months, I come back to draw Ringo :] ▪︎

▪︎ Troublemaker ▪︎ ▪︎ March 24th, 2025 to August 3rd, 2025 ▪︎ ▪︎ Around late March this year, I posted some concept art of how I would go about in drawing something chibi-like, and attempted to color it — unfortunately, I didn't have the motivation to continue, resulting in me dropping it. Fast forward 4 months later, after finishing a birthday drawing for a cool artist and friend, I came across the file again. I was hesitant at first, but I loved the base sketch so much, that I decided to pick up and continue where I left off. Truly an experience — I'm not the best with colors at all, but for what it is, I'm happy how this turned out. I'm hoping to post more colored art in the future :] ▪︎
