Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.
It gets dark so early! Oh, well...
Happy Raturday!!! 😃

He went on a rant about the Bible and God and said that I gotta get back into it. I yes'ed him to death, he eventually said he was a Jehovah's witness.

It’s always struck me as odd that an all-powerful god never speaks for itself, and must rely entirely on others to tell me it exists.

Its body angles slightly to the right, but its head turns toward the viewer, crest raised in alert curiosity. The bird’s vivid plumage is a tapestry of blues: cerulean wings etched with black barring, a soft sky-blue back, and a crown of deeper indigo feathers that rise like a ceremonial plume. A bold black necklace encircles its throat, contrasting sharply with the snowy white of its chest and face. Its eyes are dark and intelligent, framed by a subtle mask of black markings that lend it a look of thoughtful scrutiny. The branches it rests between are textured with pale green and gray lichen, adding an ancient, mossy character to the scene. Behind the bird, the background blurs into a gentle wash of greens and browns—suggesting a forested setting, perhaps early autumn or late spring. The soft focus isolates the Blue Jay in a moment of stillness, as if time paused to honor its presence. The image captures not just a bird, but a sentinel of the woods—alert, poised, and sovereign." - Microsoft Copilot
Any Peanuts Over There?
A Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) from a few weeks back—one of several that had been visiting for morning peanuts. For a stretch, they’d swoop in regularly, bold and punctual. This one lingered at a distance, eyeing the feeder with quiet calculation.

15.11.2025 11:20 — 👍 8 🔁 3 💬 0 📌 0"A brilliant male Northern Cardinal perches with quiet authority on a slender, leafless branch. His plumage blazes in saturated crimson, a living ember against the soft, blurred backdrop of green foliage. The red is not uniform—it deepens around his wings and tail, while his crest rises like a flame, sharp and proud. His face is marked by a bold black mask that stretches from the base of his stout orange beak to encircle his eyes, giving him a look of dignified alertness. The beak itself is conical and powerful, designed for cracking seeds but here closed in contemplative stillness. The branch he rests on is pale and textured, its bark slightly rough, offering a natural pedestal for this avian jewel. The background is a gentle wash of green, softly out of focus, suggesting a lush forest or garden beyond. This blur enhances the cardinal’s sharpness, making him appear almost sculptural—etched in light and color. There is no motion in the image, yet the bird’s posture hints at readiness. His claws grip the branch with precision. His gaze is forward, steady, as if watching something unseen. The entire composition feels reverent, as if nature paused to admire its own handiwork." - Microsoft Copilot
