Yeah, I usually don’t have issues with Bucks’ matches being like that, but for some reason it felt overdone. Specially having low stakes (despite the 500k stipulation, which usually have little to no value in these matches) and being low on the card.

Yeah, that finish left a weird aftertaste. It feels nitpicky, but it really didn’t make sense. Also why cut The Demand’s momentum like that?

If grifters watched some of the titles matches she’s been in outside of aew, they would at least be entertained. People act like she’s been squashing people and leaving with the belt. I do get concerned with how they will wrap up this story, but so far it’s been the run people should look up to.

I believe it’s all about expectations. I liked Hayter/Thekla, but didn’t love it as the first Aminata/Thekla. I liked Stat/Toni, but my expectations were too high. Mox/Darby had tougher matches than that, even though it was good. Hangman/Joe felt like it would have a definitive winner but it didn’t.

The tag team championship match was my favorite and it really consolidated Brodido for me. Also I wasn’t high on the last minute TBS championship defense announcement, but it was one of the best matches of the night, Mina and Mone are great at working with the crowd.

Yeah, I think Bayne and Ford have everything to be the winning team, just need that push. My hopes are that their loss at wrestledream is just an attempt to paint a picture of a leveled division before the tournament ment starts.

Yes, one of the few people I would make Hangman lose the championship so soon. I feel like the more you wait for perfect timing the more you end up having to pivot to something else. Jay has been around long enough to be given the opportunity.

I don’t think it’s necessarily bad that she has that many belts, but I expect she will also put a bunch of people over in some kind of “loser tour”. I feel it would be a bad look if she vacated any of those championships, just so she could keep her momentum, or decided to move on from this angle.

I like that! I wish they were already building the division with a few matches and seeing who gets over before any kind of tournament. As much as I liked Ishii x Mox, that slot could be used for a women’s match and I don’t understand why they are so reluctant to book them more.

I like her moveset, I just felt the pacing was off, but I imagine it’s really a matter of time for her to get along.

During the fork spot, Mox reaches for the blade in his pocket (or his own fork?) maybe to assure there would be a crimson mask and then thinks to himself “never mind, I guess” after Hangman accomplished the task.

Stat big “NO” to the Death Riders, then going up the stairs through the crowd was perfect and they should edit the tape of that show to end like that.

I wonder if they would use that match to write Mox off for a little bit and test the waters with a change in leadership for the Death Riders.

I’m always surprised with how much they deliver with the little time they are given. Having only one women’s match in a two hour show disappoints me and it’s really clear TK tries to compensate it with run-ins and random brawls/beatdowns, but that’s not the same thing as seeing them go one on one.

I made that up, but if Jamie didn’t bring this look back for one night, what is she even doing? (Kyle would look great as well though)

A little thing that I liked from this past feud with Fletcher, despite being a short one, was Hangman telling him “Don’t disappoint me”, just as if he was the opposite side of the coin of what Mox was doing. I don’t know if he’ll hit that note again, but I think there is more to explore on that path

I’m glad you put Athena x Mercedes up there, haven’t seen anyone highlighting it among their favorites from this year. It doesn’t get as much praise as the Hollywood Ending match, which had way more emotional weight. It was the best women’s match in AEW this year for me as well.

That. And I think officially only CMLL and NJPW get their belts on AEW tv, due to their partnership. I think the exception is Mone, but it’s part of her gimmick walking around with every belt possible.

Most of the Don Callis family doesn’t need him to get over, maybe as a mouth piece for the non english speakers, but even them are too good for him. I would like to see a civil war inside the family, so much star power, it can be the next big feud in AEW.
