We are somehow living both a Huxleyan (where a world of consumerism and entertainment distract us) and Orwellian dystopia. It is so frightening that we are living a reality we have been warned about in literature.

The US government is creating a “reality” of “them vs us” that is actually a delusion fueled by systematic xenophobia and will be the downfall of this country. History may not always repeat itself, but it will always rhyme.

America is literally built off of immigrants and their contributions. A great majority the top researchers, scientists, and doctors… etc all are from other countries. Science, research, and technology is what makes a country powerful, and America is shooting itself in the foot.
