Sometimes on Safari (or in life) people tell you what you want to hear. Our Safari driver, well, he spent a long time telling us about this chameleon. If you hear something enough you even sort of start to believe it. Turns out it was ‘just’ an oriental garden lizard. 🦎

It’s nice to slow it down, especially during golden hour. But I get the urge to just keep moving

Quite literally your backyard then, it’s a great spot

Some views are worth getting up for. Others are worth 4 hours of hiking, a night in a hut and then getting up for. This was one of those kind of views.

There’s something mesmerising about capturing a bird in flight. Freezing a moment in time that last for 1/4000th of a second. Too fast for the naked eye to see. And yes the right gear helps. But you also need to be there. So get outside and freeze moments.

We went to Kaudalla National park to experience the Elephant migration - our actual highlight: the #birds!

We lucked out, our driver had eyes as sharp as this eagles! We got to see more than we could have hoped!

All I could think watching this stork cross the murkey croc filled depths was you crazy b*stard… watch your step!

Robins are one of my favourite birds to encounter on the trail because they are so fearless and inquisitive. This Robin jumped down from the branch to the path in front of me. So close the shot became impossible (the downside of a telephoto lens).
