Thought I’d share a couple of pics of my Spector NS-2JA. I bought it at Knut-Koupeé music store in Minneapolis in the summer of 1985 before heading to Berklee. None of my bass instructors liked the tone, they said it was too bright and edgy. I loved it, however, and have used it on many recordings.

In 2018, I started writing a song to honor the music legends we’ve lost and the artists who shaped my youth. This year, I revisited that unfinished piece, and this video is the result.
