I think the team really came up with something cool to do with how it opens up a rift in the ground and seeing shades swim through it. That even if the concept can't be executed it can still inspire and get imagination flowing for how it could work.

Like how the mage sword is about the power of lightning being brought forth by magical formulas and diagrams. And the holy sword through scriptures.

Sharing the final concept for revenant reign viego! It took a very long time to make, but the community's excitement makes it worth it!
We wanted to able to take viego's base character and really amping it up, making it feel like he's like the all powerful tragic demon king of his own universe.

we leaned more into strange fungus, exotic seeds and unusual flowers, we also had to deliberately had to side-step anything that looked insectoid because faerie court occupies that space. And I think that helped it look much more unique.
Thorns being straight keeps it more plant, less insect
To create an alien and exotic feeling, it was important to be faithful to how flowers, plants and fungus appear in the real world because they were so alien already and have such specific anatomies to them that going off would actually make something look more generic.

I did the initial concepting for developing the flora fatalis skins!
We aimed to make them look both beautiful and deadly by having light, vibrant colors, soft shapes for their petals and dark colors, shiny and sharp materials for their thorns. like a carrot and stick
The visuals for the anomaly are beautiful and so trippy, and we wanted to lean into a brighter and hopeful interpretation of the arcane anomaly, in visual opposition to jayce's darker more nihilistic view of the arcane #LoLDevArt ๐งต2/2
