Anyway, yeah, another mildly magic pigeon-related encounter. It just makes me so happy to see other people who care about them and who understand.

Honestly, feeding pigeons is cool, but a weird side effect that it's actually fostered some really wholesome encounters with people, too.

...and returns with a handful of crumbs. Out of nowhere, Britta appears,flies down to his feet and eats from his hand. Another waitress goes, "Oh yeah, the bird ... it's his pet." Restaurant-goers are watching from their tables. It's getting busy so I move on, tell him I will be back tomorrow.

He then pulls out his phone and shows me a photo. Yep, I know her. But she looks healthy.

He then tells me she's been there longer than he has and he started working there three years ago. She's his friend. He's named her Britta. He then goes, "Watch this" and goes into his restaurant.

...I start explaining myself and apologise, and he tells me he needs me to move because the table I am crouched behind is reserved. He asks about the pigeons. Asks if I have helped "the white one." I haven't, but I have seen her. She's got one leg but looks pretty healthy so I have not intervened.

So I am trying to catch a bird in a laneway full of cute restaurants today, who has a mangled up foot and likely requires at home rehab. Anyway, I am staking out the bird and trying to catch her, and a waiter comes up to me and asks me to move on.

EXACTLY. I was this. "THIS was the bit that she drew the line at?!" It was mild compared to how he has treated so many other people.

She was a victim in this case. No one deserves to be bullied and humiliated at work. She was also the abuser in other cases, so my sympathy for her is extremely limited.

She still worked with him after the teenager? After the comments about Magda? I could buy a CSIRO-level microscope and view the tiniest and most fragile organism known to mankind and it would still have more integrity than she does.

Thank you. She was the victim in this case. She was the cosigner and perpetrator in others. I am having a hard time feeling bad for her at the moment given that this was mild behaviour compared to how he treated so many OTHER women. She was a pick me and it didn't save her.

I don't do the god stuff, but DO get the moral imperative to help trapped animals stuff he was doing. He seemed to get that people aren't outside the natural world, that we live *with* it.
