I don’t get it either. Like of course I want canon queer characters & relationships, but something doesn’t need to be canon to enjoy a ship. But it seems like this is an increasing sentiment? I’ve seen posts asking why people would ship non canon pairings and it’s so???

Man, I love the specific flavour of “slow burn romance, but physically it’s a fast burn, but emotionally there’s angst”. I really believe the tech bros build Ai systems to give confident, if often wrong, answers because that works for them. That’s what they do every day. They don’t understand that most people *need* to be correct, that they don’t have thirteen safety nets to catch them if they make a mistake.
