Now it's clear what "Make America Great Again" means. America's "greatness" translates as "global military and economic dominance". America can only be "great again" if we return to a national identity that is tolerant of slave labor and rigid class differences. Guilded Age redux.

Tariff wars are the economic version of shooting wars. Tariffs don’t blow up bridges or mutilate bodies with the same kind of explosive sounds and gruesome pictures. The masters of war will play along as long as they hold power. When the power shifts, bullets will fly and bombs will drop.

The Democratic Party in this country must become the Revolutionary Party. It’s no longer sufficient to have a “progressive” wing. The D Party must stand up as “The People’s Party” in direct, militant and clear opposition to the Corporatocracy.

The non-violent strategy and tactics of Mohandas Ghandi and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. have been effective in the 20th century. Activists in this century must renew our commitment to non-violence. It's not about conflict avoidance. It's not about no sacrifice.

Law has forever created a framework for social stability. That means it has enabled progress at the same time it has protected the vulnerable. It is now the hammer swung by the powerful to crush resistance. Is it not time for Americans to rise up?

Have you encountered bullies in your life? A bully is anyone who behaves aggressively toward others to mask his deep insecurity. He (and most bullies are male) believes by dominating others he proves to himself and others his own superiority. It's a belief ... it's a belief shared by many Americans.

Bully. When you read that word, what is your image? For me, it's the character "Biff Tannen" in the "Back To The Future" movies. Thomas F. Wilson played Biff in all three BTTF films. He got his comeuppance from the McFlys, who outwitted and stood up to Biff, which created a more positive future.
