Early Morning Sunrise Bike Ride
There is nothing more beautiful than to ride through the world that is just awakening and bathed in golden light!

Rainy intervals in the Saturday early morning. It went surprisingly well, perhaps a bit too slow for the target pace, but very consistent across all 8x400m intervals.

Training lately...

This morning I did my first run with Runna. I was surprised how easy the app syncs with my watch. And I didn't even knew that my watch can talk! I will keep using the single workouts, but I will not pay 120€ for the full programs. But if you are interested, give it a try.

Early Morning Ride around the hills in sun and rain. And I got rewarded by this magnificent rainbow!

Weekend training: Sunrise is the best time for any kind of training!

Monday Early Morning Run in the gentle rainfall and Chest&Arms in the basement gym. The right way to start the week!

June 2025 was too hot and too rainy. I spent a lot of time on the bike, in the basement gym, in trains, in Bavarian cities and on Bavarian lakes. But most importantly, this month I finished all 202 streets of Bad Reichenhall!

Cycling Round to Tittmoning: a beautiful city with an Italian piazza, a castle over the city that saw quite some action in the Middle Ages and was used in WW2 as a prison for British officers. I would like to tell you much more, but Bluesky won't let me.

It's Fronleichnam, yet another holiday in Bavaria and another long weekend. Did a short run with sprints this morning, a weight training and a jump into the pond.

If you are a runner or walker, I can only highly recommend you CityStrides. It is a challenge, but it also forces you to visit places in your city you have never been to and you never knew existed.

Also some streets had to be manually ticked off like the car-only bypass road and the Autobahn rest stop. And of course there are a number of outlying villages and the Mountain Hunter barracks in the centre are of course inaccessible.

Bad Reichenhall is a nice flat city. But it is surrounded by hills and mountains. So it turned out that I had to run up and down quite a lot. And some “streets” were only paths on the mountains, so this turned into trail running or simply hiking.

I am the first one to have done so! After finishing my hometown Freilassing I turned to Bad Reichenhall, the neighbouring city where I was born. I am quite frequently there, but only in the same streets in the city centre.

I DID IT!!

I finished all the 202 streets in Bad Reichenhall.
