On Saturday, a group of folks trimmed out the "trunks" of English Ivy growing on trees next to a side path off the I-90 trail. Ivy can kill a tree if allowed to grow too much. The biggest tree had multiple "trunks" of woody entwined material to remove. #Seattle

The weather is looking great for this fix tomorrow! We'll fix this curve of the Burke-Gilman trail just east of Stone Way which is a recurring problem spot for overgrown blackberry bushes creating a choke point for all trail users

We also (not pictured) cleared some drainage ditches next to the trail's low spot, so hopefully the trail won't flood for 2 months this year!

@rachael Two of us spent an hour clearing a small but hazardous section of leaves on their way to mush. I think maybe someone cleared some of this recently!
A thing I started doing some years ago with comrades in south Seattle was cleaning up sidewalks and bike lanes -- overgrown vegetation, piles of leaves, snow. I do it less often now due to health issues but I did some today and I'm exhausted. Pictures over here: social.ridetrans.it/@SeattleStre...
