Opinion columns are such a waste of printed space. I don’t care what these people think & some read like 1st drafts of a 6th class essay.

Girl, as they say. I saw it twice in the cinema, was at my local video store to rent it the day it came out & then I had to buy it on DVD. I was a watch all the extras and directors commentary girl for that movie. Kevin Reynolds does a really good one for that film.
So yeah. Extremely formative

Same. I love the book & am compelled to watch dramatisations. I saw this one & enjoyed it immensely

+1 to this. Distilling the story down to those tropes does it a disservice & makes it seem like you’re checking boxes instead of story telling. I don’t care if it makes something easier to sell/be visible. There’s too much of it.

Yesterday before I caught the train home after a meeting I went to an art & craft shop & dropped a lot of money on stickers & washi tape. I regret nothing. They’re so pretty! My journal pages deserve nothing less!

Watched the 1st 3 episodes of Season 2 Paradise. Sterling K Brown is stellar as always. I wasn’t sure if I was in the frame of mind for a post apocalyptic tale right now but the way the story beats are being dropped & linking in to each other already ? I’m reeled back in! Such a smart well made show

…maybe it speaks to the time & place - early 90s Ireland was v different to today - but that bunch of girls weren’t feral over Heathcliff or Cathy. Too busy wondering what questions would come up on the exam paper in June probably
