28.10.2025 11:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Somewhere a member of the DUP is having a conniption.
27.10.2025 13:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This has all been giving me Northern Ireland during the Troubles vibes for a while now and I genuinely worry for all the people whose cities are invaded by this force.
26.10.2025 16:56 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Now Iβm moving into an older demographic, Iβm trying to bring this back. I can see why Momo would be so snarky with us b/c the Youth* do talk some awful rubbish.
*these days anyone younger than me I consider the Youth. But theres some aul lads out there too who need to told to get stuffed
βMOISTURIZED BUT BOTHERED, WITH WIND BLOWN HAIR.β
This pretty much sums up Galway living this time of year. Well for me anyway.
Any Stargate convention I went to was 90% women attendees. In the 1990s I was in a local Star Trek TNG fan club. It was small membership but I was by no means the only girl.
25.10.2025 16:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0β¦I have deliberately left out a sΓneadh fada on PTβs name as he deserves no such consideration. My mother has now gone from much distain to utter revulsion for him & all connected with him. She takes voting SERIOUSLY. NO BALLOT SPOILING.
Here endeth the latest political dispatch from our household.
My mother walked in & declared Niall TΓ³ibΓn a disgrace for spoiling his vote. When pressed as to whether she really meant the deceased Irish national treasure/entertainer & did she mea perhaps Peadar TobΓn, leader of Aontu & national menace instead, she replied yes to the latterβ¦
25.10.2025 16:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great day for the parish by which I mean my mother who has been very vocal at the dinner table for weeks about her GREAT distain for HH and JG.
25.10.2025 14:49 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Did Iβ¦is it April fools? Did someone actually connected with the administration put that on the official WH site?
24.10.2025 16:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You can tell people who never grew up with a Momo critiquing their clothes. She may be gone but the inner voice isnβt
23.10.2025 07:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is why when people say oh it all goes downhill after 50 skin wise I do think, clearly youβre only looking at one specific demographic because that ainβt universal.
Girls5Eva being cancelled was such a poor decision. That show was such fun.
Heβs good in this. Donβt want to oversell it but ITS THE BEST THING YOUβLL EVER SEE!*
*dramatisation: may not happen
β¦the look of utter WTF-ness when I said no, I just liked to read it was something to behold. Thereβs a lot of story in that book. God bless Dumas for never being afraid to load his stories with all sorts.
22.10.2025 19:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In 2013 I went on an intl trip with girl guides aged 13-15. I brought my count of Monte cristo book as something to dip into during free time. Itβs a fave. One of the girls saw me reading, clocked the size of it & asked βare you reading this for school?β (I was an adult leader)β¦
22.10.2025 19:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve been watching this on streaming because I I didnβt get to see it when it aired here in August. I love the book and Iβm like this adaptation too. Heβs got the goods as the count. That revenge driven but also a bit broken underneath it all vibe. In period costume.
22.10.2025 19:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This song would have brought a whole other atmosphere to the outdoors βuplifting in tricky timesβ vibe we were going for then.
21.10.2025 20:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs 5 yrs since we had to have Brownie meetings outside and while playing a musical statues game to ABBA, one of the girls said βisnβt this song like 80 years old?β And I felt a punch to my spirit that made a Covid pandemic seem immaterial in that moment.
21.10.2025 19:30 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1Well now that was very eye opening. And thought provoking.
20.10.2025 20:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This column could have been a bullet list in her notes app or friends group chat. I canβt believe she got paid for listing things she doesnβt do. We should all be so lucky.

20.10.2025 15:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do love that Tom Creanβs story is still being told. And not just because heβs Irish. What a life. What he saw, what they went through on those expeditions.
19.10.2025 19:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It needs work. Whatβs sheβs done is lovely. Butβ¦it is a big house for one person. Itβs her family home. She has big feelings about it. It is complicated.
19.10.2025 14:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0β¦My cousin has a cold house. One winter we were there for an anniversary. I could not get my ostomy baseplate sufficiently warmed up for the adhesive to stick to me. A few mins tucked into a shirt can do the trick usually but it was so cold, it didnβt work! Had to wait until I got homeβ¦
19.10.2025 14:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh we had the same. Before we got central heating off the fire & later oil heating, it was keeping that fire going all day to partially warm upstairs. And then cleaning out the fireplace? Ugh!

There are some Irish Catholic columnists who will either get oodles of outraged copy from this or combust from from the conflict of being against what the pope is doing yet their default copy for years has been respect the pope and what heβs doing especially if it was something conservative
