Talarico, in the Texas legislature, consistently emphasizes the need to keep Church and State separate, for the good of both institutions.

It’s fine to criticize politicians for their work and their words. Not fine to put words in their mouths. They’re both excellent candidates.

Stay warm and safe, everyone who will be dealing with this last gasp (hopefully) of winter.

Many of my friends, all lifelong Dems, have registered as Independents. They’re frustrated Dems engage in GOP-manufactured culture wars instead of building policies to help regular Americans. In example, Kamala promised to go after price gougers, but dropped that message within a few weeks.

The Tik Tocker’s smear attempt was pretty disappointing and may have backfired.

A good friend in Austin says this is especially true in rural western Texas.

He also says friends are having a hard time choosing between Crockett and Talarico. Both seem incorruptible.

He seems focused on pointing out that radical Right MAGA fanatics, many who identify as Christian, engage in hateful rhetoric and actions that are in violent opposition to the tenets and teachings of most major religions. I’m good with that.

Crockett exposes their hypocrisy also.

Both candidates are great. I do not foresee Talarico shifting his stance, should he win. When Jen Psaki first had him on after TX Dems left the state, his firm stance on separation of Church and State and the dangers of Christian Nationalism were compelling. America must remain the land of the free.
