USA baseball and football (soccer) fan here… very similar complaints were made about the introduction of a pitch clock in baseball but it really made a difference in making the game feel like it was moving forward vs absolutely nothing happening.

What I'm not seeing is talk about venue-sharing arrangements with the NFL (Seattle, Atlanta, New England, Charlotte) - can those sites support a Saturday/Sunday changeover? Will those be baked-in road games to avoid conflicts?
