It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.
He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.
WTF did they do to get banned from Waffle House?!‽ 😳

The US Embassy in Riyadh seems to have taken a direct hit.
No idea on casualties, but it looks bad. Hope it was evacuated.

Trump’s "Board of Peace" has begun its first war.
According to them, peace is now war with better branding.

For all those who didn't watch tonight, allow me to summarize:
The liar lied again.

And I don’t want to hear shit about a censure vote against this man.
Rep. Al Greene was ejected from the State of the Union for the sign — “Black People Aren’t Apes.”
By the time he’s done, I’ll bet that at least a quarter of the national debt will just be money he stole.

(For years international adoptees became U.S. citizens only when their adoptive parents took the needed steps to get them naturalized; a 2000 law automatically naturalizes legal adoptees on arrival, but that came too late for this woman).

I don’t talk about my admiration for Peele as much as I should. He’s a genius.
NOPE isn’t just an excellent horror film, it’s a love letter to cinema.
That headline says everything about time, and how it lies to us.
When a baby gets measles and survives, the story is supposed to end there. Fever breaks. Rash fades. Parents exhale. Life resumes. We file it under “childhood illness” inconvenient, scary, but over.

This 53 year old man who lived in my neighborhood w/no criminal record & who had been in the US for 30 years, was detained and thrown into a cold cell for days, caught pneumonia and COVID there and deported.
He finally died.
I am so angry.

A tariff “refund” mostly goes to whoever wrote the tariff check: the importer of record. That’s not the same person who paid more at the register. So refunds -- if they're offered -- might sound like consumer relief, but in reality, they're corporate windfalls.

The concentration camps will not only be for immigrants, documented or otherwise. They already aren't.
They won't only be for brown and Black people.
The targets will keep expanding. It will not end.
The only way it will is if we stop it. Both in and out of the system. There is no other way.

This is totally non-standard for any publication. Every pub everywhere pretty much cleans up uhms, uhm, and vocal tics like that, which EVERYONE DOES.
This is extremely intentional.
If I was writing this I’d probably do the quote “this is of course a very longstanding policy of the United States”
Isn't this old news? That's been going on for ages.
