There’s a perfect example: In a tv news voxpop a day or two after the EURef, a guy in the Valleys was saying he voted Leave because ‘the EU never does anything for us’ whilst standing beneath one of many signs clearly stating the new bypass they were next to had been built thanks to EU funding… 🤦‍♂️
